FAQ
Questions clients often ask
I don't know which treatment my skin needs. What should I book?
Book The Skin Edit. It suits most skin types, and I'll assess your skin and tailor the treatment on the day. You can also send me a photo first.
What if you recommend a different treatment?
That's absolutely fine. We can change it before we begin. If you upgrade, you'll simply pay the difference.
My skin is sensitive. Can I still have a facial?
In many cases, yes. The Calm Edit is my gentlest facial, with no extractions or intensive exfoliation. Whatever you book, I'll assess your skin first and adapt the treatment to how it is on the day.
Will it hurt?
Most treatments are comfortable and relaxing. Some can cause mild warmth, tingling or pressure. I'll always explain what to expect and check you're comfortable throughout.
Do all facials include extractions?
Most do, where your skin needs them. Microneedling treatments and The Calm Edit don't include extractions.
Will extractions leave my skin red?
Some temporary redness can occur, especially if skin is congested, but it usually settles quickly. I work carefully to minimise irritation and never force a spot that isn't ready.
Will I see a difference after one treatment?
You may notice fresher, brighter-looking skin straight away. Concerns like texture, pigmentation or signs of ageing usually need consistency and time. I'll always be honest about what's realistic for your skin.
How often should I have a facial?
For regular maintenance, I usually suggest every 4–6 weeks. It really depends on your skin, goals, schedule and budget.
Is there any downtime?
Most facials have little to none. Peels and microneedling can cause temporary redness, dryness or light flaking. I'll explain what to expect before your treatment.
How should I prepare?
For peels and microneedling, please follow the preparation guidance.
If in doubt, get in touch before stopping or starting any active skincare.
Can I have a treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
The Skin Edit, The Lift Edit and The Calm Edit are suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, subject to consultation. All other treatments are not suitable. Please let me know when you book.
I have an event coming up. Can I book beforehand?
Yes. Just let me know when booking so I can recommend a treatment and timing that avoids unexpected downtime.
Will I have to buy products?
No. I’m happy to work with what you already have and help you build a routine that truly works for your skin.
What if my concern needs a doctor?
Your safety comes first. If I feel your skin would be better assessed by a dermatologist or GP, I'll tell you honestly.
Can I buy a facial as a gift?
Yes! Gift vouchers are available online in any amount and arrive instantly by email or text, so they’re perfect for last-minute presents too. Buy one here.
